Goals: 

  • Promote the sport of Badminton among Junior players
  • Service from the Club to its members
  • Increase player’s fitness and athletic spirit
  • Train juniors to eventually play with parents and club members at regular time
  • Compete at local or state tournaments – feel the excitement of winning

Junior Training Program:

 

 

Group: Level 1, 2 and 3 (Elite) – student level to be determined by coaches at registration.

 

Age: 7-16 years old

 

Program:

            • Footwork and court running
            • Basic strokes, serves, clears, drops
            • Backhand and forehand drills
        • Understanding of the games
        • Strength endurance
        • Speed and Agility
        • Target smashes
        • Physical preparation
        • Mental focus
        • Friendly competition at the end of the drills

 

Location: Dallas Badminton Club at Reverchon Rec. Center

 

Requirements: DBC Member (individual membership or family membership) and Dallas Rec Center Card.

 

Time: SATURDAYS 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.

Traning Session: Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sept, Oct-Dec (each session is 3-months)

 

Fees: 3-Month Sessions: $70/student

 

Registration: Saturday, April 10th, 2010 at 10:00am at Reverchon Rec. Center
